Ellington Leather - Juno Tote

Very good but not outstanding, 6-12-2008

The materials are excellent quality, as with all Ellington bags. I really like this bag, especially the versatility of being able to convert it to a backpack. But here are the things I think could be improved: 1. When used as a backpack, the big chunky snap closures tend to dig uncomfortably into my back. The solution would be to move the straps (or at the very least the snap closures) more to the outside of the bag, kind of like Ellington has it with the Stella bag. The way this is now, the plastic parts are too far in on my back and are expecially uncomfortable when the bag is packed with lots of stuff. 2. I wish they would have made the key and the carabiner cord removable. Minor detail, but still could be improved... Also, the one cord is in the way of the cell phone pocket, I think that this will get on my nerves after a while of constantly having to shove the cord out of the way in order to get to the cell phone. 3. Lastly, to make this super-versatile, a removable shoulder strap would have been great! All in all though this is a cool-looking bag with a great number of well thought-out pockets that hold enough to be useful as a carry-on on an intercontinental flight. Plus, the olive and black bags are manly enough to be carried by guys... :-)
